Dank Lockdown im frühen Jahr

the snow is falling wunderbar.

When the Glatteis on the street

and we all an Impfung need,

then you know, es ist soweit:

it is COVID-Weihnachtszeit!

Coronavirus overrunning

But we stay strong und haben Ahnung:

Quarantäne, Maskenpflicht,

Washing hands – vergiss es nicht!

Lüften, learning and AHA,

Fester Sitzplatz – alles klar!

Kurz vor Christmas what a stress:

Mother´s looking for a dress

Daddy in the Nebenraum

schmückt a Riesen-Tannenbaum.

And destroying social life.

Finally the Kinderlein

into the Zimmer kommen rein,

munter sings the family

a famous song "Oh, Christmastree".

And then jeder in the house

is packing die Geschenke aus.

 Merry Christmas, merry Christmas,

hear the music, see the lights.

Frohe Weihnacht, frohe Weihnacht,

Auch in der Corona-Zeit!
